LAURA CAMPBELL
Destiny of Hope’s President, began her education studying forensic science with the FBI. However, as God would have it, she returned to school later to follow a different path towards teaching and ministering as a youth pastor. Additionally, she was a public speaker for ministries all over the nation as well as a summer camp and youth conference director. Laura has been ordained since 1992, and throughout her lifetime the opportunity to minister to others has come in many forms; including weddings, funerals, and in palliative care settings.
Laura has lived an adventurous life from running a successful small business, to being a tax consultant for numerous clients, as well as providing much needed fund raising for families in times of need. Her financial mentoring and counseling for young families has created many opportunities to spread the message of Jesus Christ.
Laura has experienced trials and tribulations throughout her life, facing them with grace, courage and hope. Divorce, loss, and health crises have all reared their ugly heads along her walk with God; however, her strength has remained because of her relationship with Him.
In May of 1996 Laura was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and given an extremely poor prognosis. At the time she had 4 young children. Through it all, Laura did not see herself as a victim, but stood strong in the Word of God. She and her family prayed and believed in the healing power of God, never wavering in the knowledge that she would be an overcomer. She remains cancer free today.
Today brings her continued blessings including five grown children and their families. She currently has 9 grandchildren, with her 10th grandchild expected in August 2018. Laura is excited to continue sharing the message of Hope that comes from a relationship with God!
